Both the snow and desert levels can earn you many bolts if you get all
the gems, especially on the 2nd+ trip through the game when the bolt
totals can be close to a million on each.
Physical cheating is possible using a 3rd party controller that has a
turbo setting for the fire button, duct tape, and dropping down to a
tunnel under the landing pad on Metropolis with an infinite supply of
cars going by. Then aim the wrench carefully and let it run overnight.
