I would add a 128-256 GB SSD boot/system drive to that build.

What do you plan on using it for? Will 500 GB be enough space?

PSU is a bit overkill TBH. You really don't need more than a decent 500-600W for a 280 + i5.

For right now, I won't need larger space (I understand the need for an SSD), but I will add space later on. What PSU do you recommend? That isn't too much more expensive than the one I selected

Hello mate if i was you i would get a SSD instead of you 500gig hdd that will make a massive improvement to how your system runs. the samsung evo 850 is good price at the moment

and i would go for a gtx 970

its only extra $100 and will make a massive difference when gaming to a AMD card

I wouldnt even buy a 280. Esp not at that price.. 285 for less? Probably.
Along with whichever XFX TS 550 or 650 unit is still under $69.95 this week.

Here in Australia the 2 GPU's that are in my price range are either the GTX 960 or R9 280. The R9 is better for hugher eesolutions, so that's what i'm going for :/
