Question Razor Hanbo AIO connectivity and lighting issues ?

What is causing my AIO connection issues?

My AIO cooler’s connection flashes on and off in the device settings. Because of this, the device isn’t accessible in the Razor Synapse app. Also the cooler’s fans spin but the rgb on the AIO fans and pump have never turned on. I had to plug a rgb hub into the sata cable in my semi modular psu to power 6 case fans. The razor hanbo has a sata connector that I plugged into one of the slots on the psu sata cable.

When I first built the PC, i chose to set the “cpu fan not detected” message to Ignore in the bios since it recommended it if the problem persisted, and it loaded into the bios anytime the computer shut off or had to restart. It’s been roughly 2 months since I powered it on and I’ve ran one game on it along with heavier programs used for productivity like after effects. If the aio wasn’t cooling the cpu wouldn’t it have fried by now? The case argb on the fans and ram sticks light up but the cooler doesn’t.

PC Specs
MOBO: Asus Prime B650 Plus WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600x
GPU: RTX 4060 8GB
RAM: Viper Venom 2 x 32GB DDR5 RGB
AIO: Razor Hanbo Chroma 360mm

Your post tells of two significant problems right from the start. First, you got constant warnings of “cpu fan not detected” so you disabled that. For that AIO system there is ONE cable from the pump (one arm of a multi-headed cable) that MUST go to the CPU_FAN header. THAT is the only way that header can receive a pump speed signal from the AIO system. NO speed signal at that header is what triggers that warning. So the warning tells us there is a flaw. Possible causes:
1. You did NOT plug the cable into the CPU_FAN header, and put it somewhere else. Fix that if that's the issue, and undo the setting to ignore the missing speed. If this gets you a speed signal at CPU_FAN you do not need to pursue the next two items.
2. Faulty AIO system that is not sending out a speed signal. Go to the header where the cable from the pump IS plugged in and see whether or not there is a SPEED shown. If NO speed is there, that header is getting no signal. The AIO unit may be faulty - see next point.
3. The header in use for that cable from the pump is faulty and cannot receive the signal. Try moving that cable to a different header and see if that new header can show a speed. ALSO try plugging any other fan into the header you are using for the cable from the AIO pump. If that other fan CAN show a speed on that header, then you know the AIO was NOT sending a speed signal.
Points 2 and 3 will identify whether the AIO system if faulty (no speed sent) or the mobo header is faulty (unable to receive a speed signal). If either is faulty, contact the supplier.

If this has solved that issue, now we can proceed to the failure to find the AIO system in Razor Synapse. This MAY be because of the missing speed signal, and that may have been "solved" by fixing the missing signal above. But that might still require further work (below). OR it may be because the AIO system's other cable that goes to a mobo USB2 header is not working. For the second possibility, look in the Windows Device Manager. Expand the listing for USB devices and look for some indication that there is a device named like Razor. If you find that, look for any yellow triangle warning that it has a problem. If there's a triangle, or if there is no such device, back out, shut down and disconnect that cable from the USB2 header. Now re-connect it to another USB2 header, start up and go back into Device Manager and look again.

IF you find such a device in Device Manager, and IF you have resolved the missing speed signal issue, then proceed with this. UNinstall Razor Synapse and shut down. Reboot and re-Install Razor Synapse. This will trigger it to re-scan your system and find the AIO components so it CAN work for you. If that works, then you can start to use it and get things working.

One other hint regarding the LIGHTS. Your mobo is capable of using the newer Version 2 of ARGB lights, but signals from that system cannot work on lights that are the Original version. So look in Razor Synapse for an option to set the type of ARGB lights in use. IF your lights do NOT work now, change that setting to Original instead of V2, and see if that gets them working.
