I'm using realtek audio console for my MSI laptop. I noticed you can DRASTICALLY improve sound quality by choosing "ultimate" for headphone power. The problem is that every time I unplug my headphones and then plug them back in again this setting goes back to "balanced" mode. My settings aren't being saved. How can I set "ultimate" as the default mode, or else make sure the settings persist? Thank you in advance.

Solution
All that feature does is give you a Loudness "+15dB" which you can do with much more control with the Equalizer APO and the Peace interface.

Equalizer APO + Peace Interface This can be set up to load on windows boot plus you can add as many custom profiles as you want. I use it to tailor every audio source I have on all my computers.
