Well, unless you live near a MicroCenter, you won't get the i5-3750k for that price because it is in-store only. I would stick with the PSU or maybe even an 80+ cerified.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($39.98 @ Outlet PC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $134.95
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

A CX600 is too expensive? You'd rather they go with some Coolmax or Diablotek garbage supply that blows up and takes out their system with it? :heink:

Cheap power supplies ARE NOT WORTH IT. Period. I've seen what happens when you use them and I will object every single time - you do not go cheap in this area or it will not end well.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182262 ?

What are brands that i should be looking for when buying Psu, I was told not to use thermalmake because it's a cheap brand

The one i'm buying is already 80 plus bronze
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028

My sure my parents would rather have a lower bill when using something thats more efficient (towards the bill )and better quality(that'll last me).

Why the choice in GPU over the one i picked, Also why those Ram sticks over the 2/3 rams i listed that are 8gb.

Or Ram, which would be best: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] D=10446076

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] D=10446076

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] D=10446076

Also: Which would be best for over clocking.

http://www.techpowerup.com/178129/AMD-to-Fix-GCN-Latency-Issues-with-Driver-Updates.html

And the 660 ti is cheaper, and offers a game(assassins creed 3), the 7950 offers none(amd never settle promotion is over).
For the ram, it's also 8GB dual channel 1600 mhz like the others, but its overclock potential is really good(can reach 2133mhz or beyond that) vs ram at the same price, also comes with lifetime warranty and it's a low profile ram, good for clearance for larger coolers.

You are off to a very good start ! Some minor suggestions for build and to save money. I'm assuming a gaming computer.

1. Microcenter is the best place to buy CPU and Motherboard combo. Period.
2. Go to pcpartpicker.com and put your build into the system. It will:
- let you know if your parts are compatible
- give you an estimated power required (double required power for PSU watts [is a rough guide] )
- give you the best price and location where to buy that item

you can do better pricewise by shopping amazon, newegg, tigerdirect, and Microcenter once you have your items selected.

3. I would / did get the I5 3570k. You do not have to overclock it ( i have one, and have not overclocked yet ... but I will). The K means you CAN overclock it. I have the 3570k and the ASRock z77 Ext 4. They are an awesome fit !
4. Cooler Master Hypo 212 is great and quiet (intel fans are average and loud). The Hypo 212 comes with fan, quick silver ... all you need.
5. Overclocking (o/c) in a sentence or two: O/C is increasing the CPU base speed. The computer will work faster. It takes more power and generates more heat.
6. A Solid State Drive (SSD) is nice but not a requirement. Samsung 830/840, Crucial M4, Intel 330 are all good. Not below 120 GB
7. HDD's are good for mass storage, SSD's are great for operating system and 1 or two of your favorite games.
8. For the build. Watch youtube "newegg parts 2&3". This is a step by step walk through showing you what and how to build your computer. I've built 2 computers and am of average intelligence. These 2 videos are great !!
9. Quality PSU's: Corsair, Seasonic, and PC Power and Cooling. Of note: I have the PSU you've chosen. It's quiet and powers my system.

"Perfection is the enemy of good enough !"

Good Luck and Enjoy !!

This Ram :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144&nm_mc=AFC-C8JUNCTION&cm_mmc=AFC-C8JUNCTION-_-EMC-010113-Latest-_-DesktopMemory-_-20233144-L08D&PID=4176827&SID=txmwvakeh0t&AID=10446076

Both have lifetime warranty, Would you still pick samsung over corsair aside from it's low profile ?explain a bot more please, it's my final decision.

Anyone who still reccomends the 660Ti over the 7950 needs to get with the times.

-7950 overclocks WAY better, the 660Ti/670 are voltage locked.
-384 bit bus means better high res/AA/AF/Multimonitor/CF scaling.
-3GB memory means better performance on heavily moddable games such as Skyrim.
-AMD OpenCL/Directcompute is vastly superior to Nvidia's.
-Scales better with CF+Memory means better future proofing.

If you'd seen my previous post, you'd know why :

See this : http://techreport.com/review/23981/radeon-hd-7950-vs-geforce-gtx-660-ti-revisited

And the 660 ti is cheaper, and offers a game(assassins creed 3), the 7950 offers none(amd never settle promotion is over).

That's what i wrote...

As for the os, the Home premium 64 bits is enough for your needs, the pro only if you plan to add 32GB(ram).
