Hello everyone,

I'm in need of some advice and recommendations for buying a soundbar to improve the sound quality of my parents' TV. They're looking for an affordable option that costs under $100 and can improve in sound volume.

Ideally, the soundbar should be the right size for their TV and have the necessary connectivity options to receive audio directly from the TV. It would also be great if the soundbar had good reviews for sound quality, particularly for dialogue clarity, which is important for TV viewing.

I've looked into a few options, such as these:
  1. Vizio SB2020n-
  2. TaoTronics Soundbar (TT-SK023)
  3. Ultimea (Apollo S40)

but I'm not sure which one to choose.

If anyone has any experience with these soundbars or has any other recommendations for affordable soundbars that can improve the sound quality of a TV, I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thank you in advance for your help!

This is $12 over your price point but includes a subwoofer with free shipping. In reviews it plays decent sound for movies. Amazon.com: TCL Alto 6+ 2.1 Channel Dolby Audio Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer, Bluetooth – TS6110, 240W, 31.5-inch, Black : Electronics

I have an older model of that Vizio, doesn't look like it has changed much.

If you have a Vizio TV, then it works flawlessly with the TV remote even if you don't use eARC.

I am not a huge fan of bass, so it works for me to get the voice levels good enough to hear without having to crank the volume up.

In the price range that you are looking, you have to realize that any sound bar which would improve dialogue clarity would perform this function using an equalizer built into its electronics that boosts the volume of the part of the audio spectrum containing human voices. None of the ones you mention indicate that they perform this function. So you need to look for a sound bar that specifically indicates that it performs that function.
