Build Advice Recommendations for an upgradable PC build for under $500 in India ?

Hi, I am planning to build new PC under 500$ (ready for entry level CPU/RAM/GPU but should be upgradable later).

Approximate Purchase Date: Within 2 weeks

Budget Range: $500-600 after rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Data crunching, AIML, Meta quest VR


Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Location: Mumbai, India

Parts Preferences: none.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: WFHD, planning for 4k

Additional Comments: Most important thing for me is that the case, mobo , psu should support upgradability as planning to save money to buy heavy GPU in one year and even upgrade other parts as suitable

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Data crunchin, analytics, AIML, VR games

Please note that I am willing to wait for good GPU in future. Rest of the PC can be assembled now.

Also, I already have keyboard, mouse, monitor, Bluetooth/wifi receiver etc. if that helps.

If you want an upgradable platform, you only have 1 choice - AM5.

The mobo is B650 chipset with AM5 socket. So yes, it should be upgradable just like AM4.

The PSU is ATX 3.0 Tier A model with 16 pin power connector. I would say everything upto a 4080 super is compatible with that PSU. or GPUs upto 350W.

The case again supports GPUs upto 365mm and cpu coolers upto CPU coolers upto 172mm. So most high end coolers and GPUs will fit. It also has a front panel Type C connector. Just a reminder: you have to assemble the case. It comes in pieces.

The mobo also supports pcie 5.0 M.2 SSD in the top slot for your future upgrades.

I did, the 8700G has 2 more cores.

the 9000 series launches in a few weeks. I would suggest the 9600 instead.
