Recorded video isn't 60 fps?

Good day.I have been trying to record some Witcher 3 footage using both Fraps and Shadowplay.Doesn't matter which of these two i use, the video isn't 60 fps (it's between 35 and 55), however the fps in the actual game stays at 60. I have a GTX 970 from Asus and an i5 3570k, the video frame rate is the same regardless of me using low settings or ultra in the game. I have triple checked the settings of both Fraps and Shadowplay.

Could try OBS. Can record with that as well, free software.
It's very good.

Thank you for your quick answer. Downloaded it now and tried. Sadly the same problem persists.

Are you sure that you have the right settings in shadowplay/fraps? I do have the same GPU and can't max out the game, maybe lower the settings a bit?

Hello, as i mentioned above i tried it with every setting turned down to low, it didn't fix the problem, the video still isn't a smooth 60 fps.

I seem to have found the culprit myself. VLC media player. I uploaded the video on youtube and its a stable 60 fps.
