I JUST UPGRADED TO XP PRO AND I WANT TO CHANGE MY REFRESH RATE. I DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE IT IN MY DISPLAY PROPERTIES/MONITOR TAB. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO MANUALLY CHANGE IT LIKE IN THE BIOS OR SOME OTHER PLACE?

Get the latest drivers for your video card that work with XP. Only you know
the maker of your card; find it, then go to their support website.

Along with Video drivers as Tom suggested you also might try looking for monitor drivers.Even through my monitor is plug and play I recently installed newer driver's for it and now I have several more options for the refresh rate.
