Registery Settings For Auto Arrange Icons In Folder & Dektop

Is there any registry key or other setting which can enable auto arrange icons by (name, type, size or modified) in the folder & on the desktop?
Also the toolbar icons with text labels of our choice which we want or don't want.

I can't believe that M$ removed this hugely beneficial feature from Windows 7. It's comical.
