I used to do file sharing via File Explorer and doing some Remote Desktop session in my home between two PCs, on local network.
It always worked before May this year. And after that, sometimes it worked, sometimes it's not. And now it's totally not working anymore.

For that, in chorological order, I:
  1. Reinstalled Win 10 on main PC, it worked but after several Windows updates it's not working anymore.
  2. Reinstalled the ethernet driver from Asus's site. Worked but after restarting, it's not working anymore.
  3. Tried to connect it by "Run" command for file sharing. It worked but not anymore for past weeks.
  4. Doing Remote Desktop by using the IP address worked at first, but not anymore.
I reported it on Windows Feedback Hub but it's a grave.
Nb. I'm on my way to buy some new short patch cord online just to test whether there's cable problem.

Asus TUF Gaming B560M Plus Wi-Fi.

What Editions and Windows verisons?

FYI:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...vices/clients/remote-desktop-supported-config

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...-services/clients/remote-desktop-allow-access

The starting point is to ensure that the current configuration is supported.

When Remote Desktop and File Sharing fail to work what Window's popups, error messages, etc. appear?
I'm on Win 10 Pro, 22H2, 19045.3324, both of PCs always got the latest update.
It always worked months ago, before May this year.

Last night I tried Remote Desktop using and Android phone within the same network with Wi-Fi and it worked.
What's confusing here both of PCs can't connect each other after May, while using phone is seamless.

I'll update the routing scheme and what message that showed up later.
