I have that tool and I can remove the pins on my old PSU with it but I cant seem to remove the ones on my new PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W.
I've found that some pins have a little wing on top that acts as a lock in the connector, just have to get tough with them
you need a special tool to remove the pins from the connector. An automotive store may have the right tool, but something like this is what your after.
Granted the price should be cheaper at auto zone.
A little more understanding of what your dealing with just in case you need it. http://www.pinrepair.com/connect/
