Question Repeated crashes while gaming

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated - had a friend build me a gaming PC and it can't handle games! It crashes about 10-15 minutes into any game (BG3, Spiderman Remastered, Kingdom Come Deliverance, XCom Chimera Squad etc) - black screen, sound keeps going, fans go super fast/loud and I have to hard boot.

DEEPCOOL LE500 240mm AiO Water Cooling Kit with 2x 120mm Static LED Fans

Sabrent 2TB Rocket Q4 NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280
ASUS Dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 OC V2 LHR 8GB GDDR6 (Used)
Silverstone ET750-G V1.2 750W 80 Plus Gold Non-Modular ATX Power Supply (Used)
Windows 11 Home.
Latest drivers including BIOS and NVIDIA.

memtest86 passed with flying colours
Temperatures within reasonable ranges

I'm wondering if it's the motherboard, which is within warranty, as we've already tried replacing the hard drive, checked the thermal paste, replaced the GPU fans.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

How old is the PSU in question?

BIOS version for your motherboard? This is what we're looking for instead of a latest.

The PSU is less than two years old. The BIOS is version 3.01.
