I converted a half-decent office PC my dad has into a gaming PC, which originally was a Lenovo H330. Specs were:
i5 2320 3.0GHz Turbo to 3.3GHz
4GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
Intel HD Graphics
Lenovo motherboard
Weak 230W PSU
I stuck the whole thing into a new case, the AvP Storm P-28 and replaced the PSU with a CoolerMaster Elite 500W. I also fitted a new GPU. Specs are now:
i5 2320 3.0GHz Turbo to 3.3GHz
6GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
MSI R7 250 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition
Lenovo Motherboard
CoolerMaster Elite 500W
AvP Storm P-28 Case
I want to know whether I can upgrade my RAM to a 1600MHz version with this Lenovo motherboard, as I want to replace it with one 8GB DDR3 1600MHz stick. Will this be compatible with a motherboard that came stock with a 1333MHz stick of RAM? Sorry, it's just I know nothing about Motherboards and RAM, I'm more familiar with GPUs.
