Hey everyone! So I just swapped by Ryzen 5 3600 for a 7 5700X3D, without disabling fTMP first.

Upon launching into Windows, it told me that my PIN was invalid because of hardware changes - however, unlike some other threads, Internet worked so I was able to log in with my (Microsoft) password.
However, now I can't set up the PIN - I was able to change it (typing in the old pin into the "old pin" prompt), but that changed nothing. I was also able to then remove it, however, I cannot set up a new PIN - Windows complains that I supposedly have no Internet (which I do, in fact, have).
I have reset the TPM from BIOS (I have a B450M PRO-VDH MAX), reset it from Windows, tried disabling it, and disabling just fTPM (though I don't think I have any other TPM modules), none of it helped - still "no Internet".

There are a few other threads of people having issues after swapping their CPUs, but none of them seem to have a fitting resolution other than "reinstall Windows" - which I'd like to avoid if I can, given that I just did that and I'd rather not waste yet another day on it.

Has anyone got any ideas what to try next?

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? You might want to get into BIOS, disable fTPM, reboot again to get to OS, then reboot again into BIOS, enable fTPM and then reboot to OS GUI. See if that helps.
^ If that doesn't work, you're out of options and reinstalling your OS is the logical step left to take.

I'm on 7A38vBN2, the latest version currently on MSI's website. I did try disabling/reenabling fTPM, and that didn't seem to help. I guess I'll give it another shot, but this is unfortunate.

Would reinstalling the old CPU, disabling fTPM, then reinstalling the new CPU possibly help?

I guess at the end, I will reinstall Windows if I have to, but it's quite annoying...

UPD: I just went to try to set a new PIN again, and despite it still complaining that I "have no Internet", after pressing retry instead of showing the same message, it actually let me create a PIN, and it appears to work. So some combination of things I have tried must have actually fixed it, I suppose.
