I just managed to read it and it had no information about the tech, just hype (I can't say that it's unjustified nor justified because I can't find any information non this tech) and some info on some other topics. After reading through some links in that article, I eventually found where there's supposed to be a huge 64MiB L4 cache, but still nothing about removing system RAM. I also tried a quick Google search and couldn't find anything. Your second link, now that it works properly, also ends in saying that Intel's tech is great unless you like running Windows, so I'm not optimistic about it.

I didn't doubt its existence, I doubted its practicality and how soon it would hit the market while acknowledging the possibility of nothing coming of it.

It doesn't need to be about me justifying it or not. I was simply saying that I can't prove it accurate any more than I can prove it accurate because I can't find any information about it.

This is not a bad thing. The most innovative companies will survive therefore driving technology forward. Also the competition will be tighter in the top companies hopefully translating to better prices.

I do not see intel driving the motherboard makes out given the fact that intel has stated they are getting out of the motherboard market and leaving it to OEM's.

Nvidia will be forced into making its own cpu.

get rid of all those stupid PCI and PCIE slots and add something like MINI PCIE with MSATA for SSD's and Wireless.

Well, if you dont make more demanding games, and most of the programing is console oriented, why would anyone upgrade their PC?
Software that you use at work will be optimized for your machine rather than updated constantly.
Softwer developers (non-gaming) will aim at the most mainstream preofessional computers rather than trying to force hardware upgrades.
Only gaming is the market that can force upgrades since people dont "need" a better machine, they "want" a better machine.
I dont see people get all exited when they get to work becouse they got something new to work better/more.

Yeap, intel is just copying AMD APUs all the way. Of course, what else did you expect? I think that the mobos of AMD APUs will remain that way for along time; there is no need to integrate anything more, plus for-AMD mobos will probably feature onboard GDDR5 wich will be awessome! I agree that mobos they already sould had wifi, better audio chip etc. Also there is no need for the bulky atx mobos-cases; micro atx and mini itx sould be standard.
