Reset/Remove BIOS Password

I have an old Inspiron 710m, and I abandoned it a few years ago when I (being unwise) created a BIOS password, which I don't remember.

Digging through my basement, I decided to restore it, having built a machine in the past year. I am still faced with the black screen, blue box, white letters that say 'Enter Password [_____]'. How do I reset whatever this is?

To reiterate, I DON'T REMEMBER THE PASSWORD. I'm not sure what I should do to reset this password.

No one here can or will help you bypassing any password, for any reason. Contact Dell and ask for their help, be prepared to prove ownership.

I shall reword the question: How do I reset the CMOS on a laptop? I've unscrewed the 710m, under and above, but the casing still adheres in the location of the DVD drive.
