Hi! We have our appartment that has RJ45 cabling and RJ45 wall plugs in each room. The router has WiFi enabled but cannot cover all rooms, the WiFi signal is weak in some spots. My idea is to connect some kind of WiFi emiting device in each room's RJ45 wall plug.

But as a newbie, I am not sure this can be done and do not know which would be the WiFi device I can couple to the RJ45 wall plug.

Any advice is welcome! :)

You can have an Access Point(or maybe a repeater) but that would only mean you are introducing more wireless devices/chatter into the workspace. Make and model of your WiFi router? You could just have the rooms plugged into the router's RJ45 ports and each room has connectivity with said RJ45 port(laptop/desktop) or consolidate an AP for a group of rooms. You could share a floor plan as well as the location of your wireless router to help us understand what sort of coverage you're getting at the time of this thread as well as what you're looking for in the long run.

Hi @Lutfij thank you for your advice. Problem is that some notebooks have only one USB port. Mine has one additional USB-C port. Not sure if there is an adapter that will connect the male RJ45 to a female USB port. I would prefer a WiFi Access point because there are also smartphones that need to be connected to the Internet. Would you suggest me a god and economic WiFi Access point?

I've got the NOT there. I can't share the lay-out of my apartment, I recommend people NEVER publish any personal data in public forums. Well, I am looking for ONE WiFi access point that will work with the WiFi source. Thanks!

I meant just a generalized drawing, not the original construction blueprints and address.

How large is this space?
X meters by Y meters.
Where is the existing router?
