Hello all an as avid reader of toms I'd like to say hello. I had no idea there was a forum to post on here. I just read the stories and new news. Well this is a new and changed forum from what I have read so I figured I'd sign up. I really trust this site and look forward to every update as any intelligent reader here knows the info here is much more reliable than most web sites or magazines. I discovered how to over clock my first CPU here ( Celeron B21 PIN trick ) I rarely go a day without visiting this site.

Hi Rob!
Nice to have you here!

This is where I first learned to overclock too. What an experience it's been since then. :)

Hello Rob,
come aboard! You are very welcome here :)
TOMS Hardware is one of my favorite sites but, no, I didn't overclocked my first CPU by reading here. It was an 486DX 33 which run at 40 MHz stable :)
And then an 486DX2/66 at 80 MHz
Boah, this was a great time *g*
Nowadays overclocking is not the same coz everybody does it, but it makes a lot of fun !

Just my 2 cents

Frank

I remember those "glory days."
Wow, it felt so powerful!

Yeah, I miss the old days.

I spent 2 hours last night trying to get an old IBM System 85 server up and running. Microchannel. Special parity memory. Reference disks. Adf files.

Wait a second! I can make a kick ass server system with a Duron for less than $500!!!

Why bother with that old crap. Time to go to the local high level bridge. LOOK OUT BELOW! BIG BLUE IS COMIN' DOWN!!!

Rob, welcome here-

hey I still spend all night on old crap-
I did the celeron 366@550mhz and
I did the 430TX Socket 7 K63-450+@500mhz
(and its not supposed to work on my mobo)
and now I am rebuilding a DEC Multia Alpha166mhz Server that uses that old Parity Memory you were speaking of...

I have too many machines
(but I want 2 AMD Thoughbred or Palimino's when they come out using a multiprocessing chipset with Quad Data Rate VC vitual channel memory.....)
