Question RST + Optane and SSD

I am working on an acer switch sf315 52 with failing hard drive, and the new Samsung SSD prevents the computer from doing anything. Stuck at the acer logo. I have tried different settings like turning off "RST + Optane". The drive works in other computers and other spinning hard drives work in the acer. Is there a special trick to install ssd on Optane? I turned optane off in my attempts.

I'm not clear on what you are trying to do.
Did you replace the HDD with an SSD or are you trying to install an SSD in place of the Optane?

replace the spinning hard drive. it was going bad. The new ssd locks up the computer at the beginning.

I was trying to run an ssd. With or without optane. On my second day of research I found a thread that this model don't like new ssd. so trade in to spinning platters. I guess that is the end of the question
