Question RTX 2070 keeps causing disconnects/artifacts/shutting off when gaming ?

Problems:
I permanently had flashing laser pointer like artifacts in Escape from Tarkov and really bad artifacts in Valheim.
However, most annoying is that especially games like Overwatch, Rainbowsix siege and tarkov keep crashing with an error code similar to
"Your rendering device has been lost". What's odd about it is that Im getting really good fps and not bad temps. Crashes occur even in the main menu.
When crashing the sounds will keep going for a while but the game will just be a blackscreen until it drops an error code.

Also some games are running almost completely without causing any trouble for example Dark and Darker even with OBS recording in the background.

Things I've tried:
Ressting BIOS settings,
installing older Nvidia drivers,
Uninstalling gpu drivers with DDU,
Checking and repairing windows files,
Underclocking my 2070,
Swapping out my 2070 - Build works perfectly fine with my old 1060,
Reinstalling games, adding firewalls exceptions etc,
changing ram and cpu speeds,

My assumption:
When I swap out my GPU with my old 1060 3gb im not running into these problems. That's why I'm convinced its the RTX 2070 and no other component. Right now my guess would be that my 2070 is just dying. Maybe someone on here has a more hopefull explanation. Also in case it is actually dying I'd be wondering if there is anything you could do.

I bought the 2070 around 5-6 years ago and didnt ever really overclock it.

Really looking foward to any sort of input.

How old is the PSU in your build?

Uninstalling gpu drivers with DDU
Did you reinstall your driver using the latest sourced off of Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

My current Bios version is F12.

My power supply is 1 year old and prior to that I was using a 550 Watt be quiet 80+ non modular.
Not sure if this could have something to with it but my 1060 is requiring only 6 pins from my power supply and my 2070 is running on 10 so it could have something to do with the power supply. Unfortunately I do not exactly recall if I had any problems before upgrading my power supply.
I could swap out my power supply with my old one if you reckon that'd be worth a shot.

Im not sure if Ive done that a while ago but I'll give it another shot.
