[SOLVED] RTX 2070 or GTX 1070ti with i5 2500K @ 4.8ghz

Hello everyone

Been using really old rig since last 5 years or so and still able to play recent games at 1080p 50-60fps with high-very high settings tweaked but recently connected this PC with Sony X90F 4k TV and decided to upgrade my gaming rig so i can atleast play all the upcoming games on 1080p 60fps MAXED out or even at 1440p @ 60fps MAXED to take advantage of this TV.

Not looking for 4k as i know i don't have the budget for 4K capable GPU and CPU upgrade. Below is what i am using right now:

Intel i5 2500K OC 4.8ghz
Asus P8Z77 vPro Mobo
Gskill sniper 16GB DDR 3 RAM
120GB SSD for windows 10 Home
Zotac Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb AMP Edition

I am thinking about getting RTX 2070/GTX 1070ti, Now my concern is, if i buy either of these cards, will my CPU bottleneck or i can survive for a while and upgrade my CPU later say Q3 2019 as i would arrange funds till then?

Second confusion is, at my place computer parts are really expensive (insane tbh) due to taxes and stuff, if i convert to USD i am getting RTX 2070 at around $800 and 1070Ti at $650. Which would be a better choice at this price point of atleast 1440p gaming maxed out for atleast say 3 years more?? Also is there a huge difference visually when i play a game maxed out at 1440p compared to 1080p on this 4k display (as tv would be upscaling in both cases)

Kindly give your valuable feedback/advice/suggestions so i can invest my money wisely as i am not rich enough to upgrade CPU mobo gpu all in 1 go lol.

Increased Resolution will put lesser stress over the CPU, but @ 1080p you can find gpu bottlenecking in some CPU intensive titles, if you play @1440p or higher your CPU will not bottleneck.
If you wanna spend some more money and future proof your card get the RTX 2070.
If you restricted to budget then the 1070Ti will be a better option.

Thank you, i guess for now RTX 2060 will do the job at 1440p res. =]

RTX 2060 is a nice card but the lesser ram would be a problem in the long run.
RTX 2070 would be ideal for 1440p & Future proofing for 3 years minimum.
