Apart from VRAM if you actually need it the gap between the 3080 and 3090 is actually quite small already. As a gamer with a 3080 I don’t need the extra VRAM and don’t feel like I am missing any meaningful performance. The 3080Ti confuses me as how it will squeeze into such a small gap in the line up.The RTX 3080 Ti will be close to the performance of the RTX 3090?
like the 780ti before it, likely just a smaller amount of memory but this time perhaps on a on a smaller memory bus?Apart from VRAM if you actually need it the gap between the 3080 and 3090 is actually quite small already. People who bought the titan only to have the 780ti come out 3 months later were pissed!Smaller memory bus is the RTX 3080... 320bit instead of the 384bit. Lopped off a sixth of everything essentially.
They could do just the memory bus and leave the rest equivalent to a 3090 I suppose.
