Running 2x2gb and 2x4gb

Just checking if you can run 4 and 8 gb together with no problems? I'm not sure on clock speeds but they're all ddr3!

Same voltage and timing could and it might not. It depends on mobo as well.

hmm.. well the motherboard has 2 white and 2 yellow slots. I thought maybe that meant it was fine with two pairs aslong as those 2 are matched?

Well, its designed to work best if the RAM is exact match!. But it will work with another if it has the same specs, even if the size is not the same. But forget about OC.

Okay, thanks! was just wondering if i could use my old 2 2gb sticks aswell as my new 2 4gb sticks whilst i get together the money to buy another 8gb set

I used once on Gigabyte mobo 4 different RAM sticks and it worked fine, stable never BSOD'd but could not OC!
