Someone told me he read that the RX-5500 XT 8GB only used x8 PCIe lanes instead of all 16. Is this true? I can't find this stated anywhere that I've looked.
While the bandwidth provided by PCIe 3.0 is found to be sufficient for most GPUs with adequate VRAM, the 4GB Radeon RX 5500 XT is found to be struggling possibly due to its PCIe x8 limitation.

OK. Thanks for the verification.
I don't get AMD, tho. The 8-liane 5500 XT is faster than the RX 570 was, and even slightly faster than the RX 580... both of which were 16 lane cards.
Also weird (IMO) is the fact that the 5500 XT comes with 8GB of GDDR6, while the faster 5600 XT only has 6GB. Intentional crippling?
