[SOLVED] RX 580 4GB - 40 degrees celcius?

Hey I recently upgraded to an RX 580 4GB GPU and my temperature is around 35 degrees celcius when internet browsing etc and around 45 when gaming, is this normal seems really low considering my old 750 TI was around 50 degrees when internet browsing and around 65-80 when gaming. Should I be worried?

No? Lower degrees are good. You don't want high degrees.

It really just means that your new card is better at cooling, for the moment, at least.

No reason to worry, the 750 ti is a older GPU and may of accumulated dust over the years which may of caused the higher temp. What is the exact model of the GPU? Is the monitor plugged into the GPU? If the performance much better then your 750 ti?

Hey, my exact model is: 4096MB ATI Radeon RX 580 Series (HP)

Yes it is plugged into my monitor, my performance has increased but not dramatically as my CPU: i5-4460 is creating a slight bottleneck and thats good to know regarding the temperature, I just panicked as it was so much different to my old GPU. Thanks for the response!

Ok thanks, I just thought there was a range and I don't remember my old gpu going this low so I panicked a bit, all sounds good though, thanks for the answer.

Check the GPU usage while you gaming. Just to check whether it down performing in some case.
or else it's normal if there's no such strange things while gaming.

Your card is not running correctly, its way below what it should be.

Try running DDU and installing the latest drivers from AMD.

You GPU is holding back for some reason either it can be because of the high background CPU usage or your CPU bottle necking the GPU. But in your case CPU is performing fine compare to other benchmarks but GPU can do much more. So this is the reason why you getting low temps while gaming.. GPU is not performing at the it's best.

Try doing what Rob said above.. it can be a driver incompatibility as well.

Not in this case, its a symptom of his gpu being under utilized, hence the poor performance.
