RYZEN 1700X OC Windows crash

Hello I try to OC my 1700X under Corsair H60 via RYZEN Master

I'd set it to 4075MHz for all core at 1.450V and try Cinebench test and.. just a second later my computer seem to crash and monitor goes black but PC isn't shutdown i need to press restart button to reboot, and i think it because of high tempeture, it crash somewhere around 79c - 80c and i suspect windows 10 cut it off when temp about to reach 80c.

I also update mainboard to latest version (I use ASUS B350M-A) and i set all fan speed to maximum before test

so is there anyway that can i able to achieve stable 4.0GHz at this spec and did Windows 10 cut off when reach high tempeture on RYZEN?

any recommend or advise would be appreciate : )

Most programs ID the 1700x as 20c higher so could be 60c or around that. Your CPU most likely is unstable due to not enough voltage for stablity. This said you are way over a safe voltage of 1.35v. I suggest backing it down to 3.95~4Ghz and try for 1.35v. AT your current voltage no matter temps it could kill the CPU at any time.

I'd OC my 1700X again and here are result.

OC by RYZEN Master

Target Speed : 3,950 MHz
Target Voltage : 1.36875V

SMT : On
RAM : 8GB 2133MHz

// Result ==========================

3943MHz Max (Across all core)
1.369V Max (B350M-A Latest BIOS)
Temp : Idle = 52C / Max = 80C (Corsair H60 All max speed)

Cinebench score = 1,620 - 1,640
Peak Cinebench score = 1,670 - 1,680
(I get peak score in late test for a couple of times with same settings)

Note : Windows 10 and Cinebench crash sometimes.

What does it do at stock? If it crashes at stock could be RAM, video card, or motherboard bios stablity issue. Test your system using memtest64 and furmark to within reason remove those of possible causes for the crash.

No it only crash sometimes when OCing and i still not sure about the cause but when running at stock it perfectly fine i can confirm, but i just got only 1540 - 1560 Cinebench score.

Anyway thanks for your advise, I'll try your method if i facing that kind of crash when running in stock but so far i hadn't had a single problem.

KK probably not enough voltage. You could try 1.375v at the same clock rate. If it works then try to find a setting between 1.35 and 1.375 thats stable. Lower the better with voltage.
