[SOLVED] Ryzen 3 1300x RAM Upgrade

Hey guys,

Im currently running a Ryzen 3 1300X setup with a single channel 8GB 2133Mhz in the second slot (AMD stock cooler was too big to slot it into the first slot). Might consider changing out the CPU cooler to an AIO one if I wanna upgrade the RAM as well.

I was wondering if I were to upgrade, is it possible to place another 16GB 2133Mhz + the original 8GB and have it run together? Or would it be better to get another 8GB and try and slot it in?

Specs for my mini-ITX setup is as below:
CPU: Ryzen 3 1300X
Mobo: Asrock AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac
RAM: 8GB 2133Mhz
GPU: GTX1050Ti 4GB.

it should work, but:

I think it would be better to get two 8gb modules with 2667MHz or better 3000MHz/3200MHz

I see. It wouldn't benefit from the 24GB instead of the 2x8GBs?

You would only benefit if your memory load goes above 16GB. If not, a new kit of faster modules would be better.
