As AMD says, Max System Memory Speed: 2667MHz.So AMD does not guarantee that 3600mhz will work. Take a look at your mobos specs and BIOS updates for 3600mhz compatibility
Compatible it is but with no MBs it's guaranteed and takes a lot of hassle to make it work above 3200MHz. Second series of processors (2600 -2700x) can achieve higher speeds but until ne AGESA code comes out and on x4xx chipsets it's still difficult.
