Hello and my rig,

-GTX 1070 Ti
-16 gb ram
-i7-2700k
-Z68-MA G45 (G3)
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition
-GX 650

Firstly i apologize for my bad english. I'm using i7-2700k at 4.2 ghz in my current system. Mostly I will use it for games on 1080p. In my country they have similar prices. Should I buy Ryzen and overclock instead of i7 ?

Edit: Of course i will also change the motherboard.

Here is a benchmark of a stock 2600k against Ryzen 2600. https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/2362?vs=2413 Highly overclock the 2600k could keep up to a certain extent, but the lack of extra cores will hurt in the future. The motherboards with the 2600 can also be used to go with better Ryzens in the future.
The Ryzen 5 2600 is a considerable upgrade over the i7-2700K. It's certainly a decent upgrade. It will require a new motherboard and RAM.

If you are asking which one to buy. Buy the Ryzen 5 2600. The i7-2700K is old. If the prices are the same. It would make no sense to buy the i7-2700K.

2600 is much newer and offers you 2 more physical cores. It's obvious what you have to do.

Get a X470 or B450 motherboard which will give you the possibility to upgrade to 3rd Gen Ryzen in the future with a BIOS update and you are good to go.
