So i need a new laptop for school and for my budget the lenovo s145 looks to be the best : the laptop on amazon

Specs:
R5 3500u
8gb dual channel ram (mystery speed lol)
512 gb ssd
Decent 1080p display
I know that this can easily multitask and not feel sluggish for a few years to come but what about games? I can deal with lowest settings and 720p but what game can i play? Csgo, vallorant maybe warzone but what about stuff like just cause 3 or far cry? Is it better at this price point to just go for something on the used market and thanks to the pandemic i'm in no hurry so should i do?

Just to clarify a cheaper desktop is not an option my pc has a q8200 and a gt 710 so to get that upto spec ill have to build a new pc from scratch.

Solution
You can look up benchmarks of the CPU/video chip online. That is a lower end laptop but it may run some more demanding games at low settings, how playable that will be you need to find the test results if there are any. notebookcheck may have some they tend to have pretty comprehensive tests.

If you are planning to use this laptop for games then a used faster one may be good to look at.
