[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 5800X3D has high temps with Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE Cooler ?

Are these temperatures normal for Ryzen 7 5800x3d + pearless assasin 120se combo in cinebench r23 test? I've recently replaced my single tower fera 5 cooler with the popular Peerless Assassin 120 SE but my temps in cinebench have not come down much, only the fans are working quieter. These results are with pbo -20mv applied.

I've got old SilentiumPC Gladius M20 case. With 2x front 120mm Arctic P12 pushing air inside and 1x 120mm Arctic P12 on back pushing air out of case.

Yes, it seems about right. Zen 4 run hotter than previous gen. At a good load like CB23, you are about where you'd expect with that cooler. It's a damn good cooler by the way.

Its nice to hear. Im just suprised that my cheap single tower fera 5 was achieving same results with same effective clocks.

Intersting. The Fera 5 is an average cooler at most. Although it's rated for 225w (which I think is a bit over optomistic ), the Peerless is a much better unit.

As someone with an identical configuration, that is pretty normal. My CPU actually goes up to 90C still, but my clocks boost higher with the assassin 120 SE compared to my old Hyper 212 Black edition i used to run.

It sucks, but it is what it is. This is what we have to deal with due to the 3D-VCache. If you truly want anything close to 80C, you have to go with the best AIO liquid coolers on the market, like the 360mm Arctic coolers.

Can you send me screenshot of single cinebench run with effective clocks and temps on hwinfo? And do you have any pbo set up?

No I don't use PBO. But i can give you hwinfo64 results and cinebench.

Heah looks like mine without pbo. This would confirm that everything with my cooling is ok. The main thing is that im suprised that single tower fera 5 was achiving same results thats why i was worried.
