Question Ryzen 7950x only showing 8 cores?

My Ryzen 7950x is only showing 8 cores in and adrenaline and hwinfo64 and hwmonitor. I have pbo on and amd expo enabled is this why it’s only showing half my cores?

What is the make/model of your motherboard? Is the BIOS fully up to date?

What does the BIOS indicate regarding the CPU, cores. etc?

Might be worth running CPU-Z just to double check what its being detected as in terms of cores etc...

It's a 7950X. There is only one bios, it literally hasn't had time in use for amd/aib's to find all the bugs and start releasing bios updates. Nobody really knows much more than anyone else at this point, it's all new waters.

Motherboard is msi Meg Ace x670e the bios is up to date on the latest beta version and cpu-z says 8 cores. I do have PBO enabled idk if that has something to do with it. In the bios it says I have a 16 core processor and windows config also shows I can select 16 cores. But none of the monitoring software shows the other 8 cores as active or even there.

More often than not the monitoring software will have updates to recitify this. It's par for the course with a new CPU/Micro arch.

Keep you bios up to date, along with HWInfo (which is the most reliable for CPU monitoring software)
