Sacred Gold Local Network

My brother and I have been playing Sacred together over Local Network, and today when he tabbed out and then back in it froze. He closed it and restarted, and since then we haven't been able to see each other in the Local Network lobby, or any games the other makes. I've tried several things; resetting the router, restarting both computers, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game on both computers. Along with some other minor things in the game settings/compatibility mode, etc.

He's playing on a Laptop, and myself on a Desktop right across the room from him. I'm not sure what else to try, if there's any information you need that I forgot/didn't know to supply let me know. if anyone has any ideas let me know! Thanks in advance.

edit: I installed Diablo 2 on both computers to see if it worked and the problem was just Sacred, but it says "Cannot connect to server." regardless of which of us hosts.

Make sure your firewalls are off for the session, or at least open anything that needs to be open to connect.

I opened both the ports the server mentioned (2005, 2006) I think it has something to do with our network because we can't play any games over LAN together.

Do an ipconfig command on both computers, see if all the settings match. Try turning off the firewall totally as a test also.
