The games individually total up to 84.95. The Orange Box as a bundle sells for 29.99 on steam, -66% for this sale gives you 9.99 (i hope, i was too lazy to actually do the math there, just pulling numbers from steam)

If you miss this, Valve does stuff like this a lot. Keep watching Steam news and you'll get a lot of excellent deals. (Best deal ever: $99 for every game Valve has on Steam. They add up to like $280. And that isn't even a special).

I live in Italy, thanks to this stupid 1 USD = 1 EUR change i will pay 10 euro, but i'm not complaning, thanks for the news.

[citation][nom]afrobacon[/nom]I'm tempted to get this now even though I don't own an Xbox... Is this a bad sign?[/citation]
....It's for the PC.....

Lol, finally jane sticks up for herself. That made my day more than this deal, which I'm taking advantage of now. (And really only for the new HL2 episode I havent bothered to try yet.)

Hey, I make every effort to stay rational and be nice to everyone but some people are relentless. They seem to think I should be told every day that I suck. Trust me, if Tom, Dick or Harry says I suck once, I'll remember. They don't need to tell me ten times over. :)

I'm actually not excited about this. I don't like HL2... I had it, and uninstalled it. It's too linear for me. ...Though I must admit that the physics puzzles are fun to complete.

[citation][nom]ie49589[/nom]@ Jane McEntegartAw you brake my hearth hahaha.Instead of wasting your time trying to understand my comments (yes you can dream, but that doesn't mean you will be able to lol), put your efforts in improving your journaling skills and maybe (just maybe) one day you will post a barely decent article. A boy can dream, right?[/citation]

Sorry but your ever so cryptic posts aren't exactly hard to "understand" or figure out. You think my skills as a writer leave something to be desired and you think most of the stuff I post is bollocks, yes?

Oh and just to nitpick, I think you meant I break your heart. Nice try, hotshot.

The quality of infromation on this site seems to have improved quite a bit lately actually. And if compared to other tech sites, Toms is head and shoulders above the competition. Give it a rest. (Specially when Jane tends to be the most trustworthy journalist source for daily news on this site.)

Aside from the annoying grammer and spelling screwups and the occasional misinformation that's usually corrected fairly quickly, this site competes with the best of the tech sites. But if you seriously think you can do better, hosting costs start out at a modest 60-ish a year, and there's millions to be made through internet advertisement. Cant wait to read it!

AS soon as I saw the deal I got on steam and purchased the game. hell yes. Thank you Tomshardware for posting about it, I would have missed it for sure.

[citation][nom]JMcEntegart[/nom]I'm still crossing my fingers that some day, you'll post a relevant/useful comment. A girl can dream, right?[/citation]

Brilliant response!!

I'm sorely tempted to purchase this simply so as to have an excuse to play through them all again. 😛

I have been a long time reader of Toms, just never registered until I started hitting the site every day just to read the news section as of late. Jane if it's you in charge of this operation, Thanks and Job well done. And thanks to this piece of info, I just bought 2 copies. One for my son and myself. Oh and L4D just dropped 10 bucks. But I bought it the weekend it was on sale for 24.99.

I'm not "in charge of this operation" but I've been around since we kicked this whole news thing off (before if you count the time I spent on .co.uk). It's good to know people appreciate what we're trying to do, though. I'll pass your kind words on to the rest of the team. :)

Thanks Jane for citing me on the edit! 😀

But anyways, I purchased The Orange Box for around 14.99 or so during the Christmas sale. Never thought it'd drop to 9.99! But in any case, you've got to admire Steam's weekend deals... They're excellent... and thanks Jane for posting it up here! :)

Buggers! I never thought the day would come, but I've just ordered a game requiring steam! What's next? Do I buy an apple notebook first, or install a bunch of spyware on my system ... can't decide ... but since I've already done the unplausible ....

oh well. bargain anyway. Always wanted to try out team fortress - don't care about the other junk though.
