You're about 140 years late with your logic. Evolution rewards diversity, otherwise we never would have gotten out of the sea.

[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]I will never play this game. Not because of homo stuff but because I don't play MMOs. I want another KOTOR, single player, with actual voice acting, story and content.[/citation]

Damn right. I hate online multiplayer. KotOR 1&2 was the best starwars game ever, next to battle front. I say George Lucas has something to do with it. 😛

Indeed. KOTOR 1 was pure win, I easily disregarded outdated graphics, too bad it's a pain in the neck to get it working on Win7. Didn't play KOTOR 2 yet, but it HAS to be good. I'm very disappointed that BioWare decided to make an MMO out of an otherwise great series. I just hope that it will mean that BioWare will be very busy with SW:TOR and therefore be physically unable to make a Mass Effect MMO, which would drive that series to the ground, as well.

This is lame as hell. What does homo sexuality have to do with Star Wars? If you make Anikin gay then the whole mess falls down. Brilliant! Or maybe he and Palpatine live happily ever after......

No they don't. They both die, you know  But yes, I agree - again, homosexuality was so far unheard of in SW universe and that BioWare guy is FOS.

Yes, I know. I can just ignore or not click the gay options in the game, but now I feel like I only got 50% of the game I paid for (at least the dialog content). Like amk-aka-phantom said, just make the romance stuff optional DLC. Even the hetero stuff if they want to totally appease this minority. Instead of charging $60 for the game, charge $50 for it and have two romance options: gay and hetero for $10 each.

No, it wasn't. It might be, however, in ME3, in which case I'll just ignore and despise it - it is SO out of place. Female Shepard? Maybe. Male Shepard? Lol, NO, that'd be forced. 3 years into women and SUDDENLY gay? 😀

Cool. I am so looking forward to some hawt Twi'lek lesbo, head tenticle on tenticle action!

[citation][nom]mrTHX2249[/nom]Once again the minority wins and BW is almost forced to waste precious development hours on f@ggotry...User stingstang, how is fudge packing another man evolution?[/citation]
So true.

I mean honestly how many queers play this type of game anyhow. My guess is they are playing something called the "tool room"

Maybe they can stuff one of those "glowing kittys" up their bum.LOL

Right.. and you are about a million years too late with your logic. Evolution is a theory of adaptability. Basically, the weak ones dissipate while the strong emerge. Diversity is NOT rewarded. It is the exact opposite. You have no idea what you are spewing out of your brain.

I have to imagine that, contrary to popular belief found in these comments, the majority of homosexual characters will be heterosexual males playing homosexual females. Although many won't admit it, heterosexual men tend to have fantasies about homosexual women. Seeing as how video games are fantasies it makes good finical sense to incorporate as many fantasies in games as possible, like being a jedi or experiencing a lesbian relationship.

I sincerely don't believe that it was a 100% homosexual male minority pushing for this content. I'm sure many were but I'd put money on the majority being heterosexual men wanting to indulge their sexual fantasies in the star wars world.

Lastly 8 billion people on this planet a small but noticeable percentage are homosexual. Dozens if not hundreds of planets in the star wars universe filled with humans, numbering in the hundreds of billions and we make the assumption that none of them are gay based on the documented stories of what; at most 200 characters? Homosexuality wasn't a part of the star wars story, but neither was any character being played in swtor. Just because something wasn't a part of the story doesn't mean that it wasn't a part of the world at large.

The only reason I would object to adding this kind of content would be if they were changing the story, ie Luke and Solo get married type of deal. Otherwise why not try to attract as many players as possible?

Does it really matter if there aren't actual cut-scenes of it? I've played the beta & if you decide to get it on with a character it shows you turning to go somewhere with them then it just cuts ahead to the other character walking away from the same location afterwards. I wonder how they'll award light-side/dark-side points?

I just don't get how some people can be so up in arms about this as if it was surprising. Where have you people been for all these years? Bioware has had characters of alternative sexuality for quite some time now and you're all acting like this is some big surprise that Bioware would include it in another one of their games. Quite frankly, its absolutely idiotic to get so worked up over this, playing a game with a gay romance option will not turn you gay any more than playing Mario will turn you into a plumber. If you don't want to do the gay romance, don't do it, it's not being required of you; but, to base your entire purchasing decision on something that will have such an insignificant effect, if any at all, on your gameplay is just childish and moronic.

Some of you guys are acting like this is some massive plot created by a small minority to destroy the majority, take off the tin hats please. I'm so sick of this "woe-is-me, I'm the victimized majority" attitude people of my skin color/sexuality have, stop playing the victim you whiners. To me, inclusions like this are more about protecting the minority FROM the majority.

8 years after SWG, SOE shuts it down cause it wont pay for the security issues and subscribers were down to 1/10 what they used to be...Same thing will happen after 8 yrs of SWTOR...it will shut down too cause it will become obsolete, so another 8 yrs down the drain.

Why don't u keep a game up for min 10 yrs guaranteed, so we can build up some good vet rewards.

SWTOR is all wrong for this economy...Expect very few users in the first 3 years. As a result, SWTOR will tank as soon as it began. No More Star Wars for me...i'm sticking with Ole EQ2.

Way to say you think of yourself as a superior person to anyone who has a different sexual perference. Wait, what makes you the 'strong' diversity, anyway? Have you ever heard of gay couples a hundred years ago? Seems to me like the community is growing, almost like...it's not being 'killed off'.
Please, continue to support your opinion, and know that's ALL it is.

[citation][nom]NuclearShadow[/nom]It's wrong and immoral damn it! No, not the gay marriage in the game that's fine. The fact that we don't have a official release date yet damn it! It's wrong![/citation]

LOL! So true... Why do people get their panties in a wad over something this simple? It's ignorance not to accept a part of human existence and be like ostriches with our heads in the sand. This is game, no one's forcing anyone to play it, or the "questionable content" so to speak... If you think the game's interesting, buy it and play it. If not, stuff it and go elsewhere.

Relationships in a MMO game wait what? Same-sex ones at it too? Why should we care, get busy making content for the game, relationships in the game can happen over Ventrilo or Mumble. I could understand in a game like Second Life or if they'd ever make a Sims MMO... but this is a Star Wars MMO. GTFO with your marriage and relationships bullshit!

Some people actually play these games to have "relationships"? Gay ones too! Haha fking losers!

The STDs could be permanent de-buffs. Some are curable and some only treatable with doctor visits / pills. If the treatable ones aren't treated, they gradually become worse. The exact STD you contract, should be some sort of lottery system, or obviously just be what the other person had.

All this, I mean, if they want to do it right, then go all the way, right?

[citation][nom]stingstang[/nom]It's not about who's playing the game. It's not even about playing the game as a homosexual character. It's about the OPTION to do so. It's about the variety of different gameplay. It's evolution, that thing Christian's don't like.[/citation]

Evolutionary speaking, homosexual creatures cannot reproduce naturally.
