I recently bought a Samsung 850 Pro 256G SSD from Newegg and I am using it for an application storage drive (super fast application startup). I was using an application stored on there and it just exited (crashed), and when I tried to run it again it says that it can't find the application that the shortcut refers to. I have installed Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 9860 on a 500G hard drive. All the drives are in AHCI mode. The SSD is connected to the only 6GB/s port on my mother board.

Mother Board: Biostar B75MU3B.
CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 no overclock
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
RAM: 8G
OS: Windows 10 Tech Preview Build 9860

Solution
Have youve checked the cable, made sure its not falling apart and everythin is plugged in where it should be ? Not only from the ssd to the motherboard but also make sure the ssd power cable is fine

I disconnected and reconnected the SATA and power cables and booted up. It still doesn't show.

If you have any spare cables lying around at home then try those if not id see if it is still under waranty if yes send it back or whatever and hope they refund / repair it. Any important data on it ? Have youve tried a different sata plug on the motherboard ?

I have a special sata plug that is thin because my graphics card covers the sata port so I needed to get a very thin one to go under it.
