Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD won't fit in slot

I bought the SSD earlier today, and I'm currenctly trying to mount the SSD into the m.2 slot. It fits well, but it won't go all the way in. I saw another post with someone who had the same problem, but he was able to insert the SSD when he applied a bit more pressure, but it doesn't work for me.

My motherbord is a Gigabyte Z170X Ultra Gaming.

Have someone local to you look at it, no way to know how you are trying to install it from the internet. It's not upside down is it? Does it fit enough where you can get the screw in properly at the end? It may not need to go fully in where you can't see any of the pins. I just installed an M.2 drive in a laptop and you can see a bit of the pins.
