I installed a 970 Evo 11 months ago and made a clean win10 installation on my Msi Notebook.(8 GB ram+i7-6700hq). At first I made a benchmark(Read 3256 Write 1532). And today I have made another benchmark which resulted terrible(at least for me)(Read 3529 write 544).
Ssd is currenty half-full and I use win10 on SSD with superfetch and prefetch disabled.
I have tried to change ssd's driver to Samsung's from Microsoft's but there is no change.
Here is 2 screenshots one from 2018 and one from now.
Thanks in advance!

hi, 544 write is still pretty much normal, drive has some buffer (few GB) for faster sequential write speed, once it gets full or written data arent sequential, it will switch to its native speed which is around 600MB/s
btw if your drive overheats, it will laso lower write speeds

but its quite slower than should tbh
samsung nvme driver installed?
drive temeprature during writing?
overprovisioning is enabled in samsung magician?
no other apps were using your drive when u tested it?

Yes Samsung nvme driver is installed.
38 Celcius. Just cleaned my computer so heating is not a problem.
Yes it is activated with 23GB.
No It was just test app also I disabled my Antivirus.
Do you think it is OK?

41C is quite low

run hwinfo64 - sensors only
scroll downuntill u see S.M.A.R.T.: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 250GB
under it u will see two drive temperatures
run crytal disk mark again while hwinfo is opened, and speed test again
once done, look on hwinfo for drive temperature 2, u will see current, min, max and average temeprature
please report your max temperature from there

Check CrystalDiskMark sequential reads/writes at default 1 GB transfer sizes....

if you see 3,400/3000+ reads/writes, it is working normally.

(As others said, if you monitor it in very large transfers, it will revert to approximately standard SSD speeds once the write cache is filled/overwhelmed....)

Make sure in device manager/disk drives/samsung 970/policies you have 'enable write caching' checked!

Here you go. I started the test at 1GB as mentioned above. It is 87C with 74 average.
But I don't know what made the difference.

@mdd1963 I have run the test as you said and there is significant difference at writing.
Also write caching is always enabled.
