[citation][nom]blackened144[/nom]So, will the US model with 4G have that same quadcore cpu?http://www.tomshardware.com/news/G [...] 15465.html[/citation]

Samsung hasn't said anything about the U.S. model launching with a dual-core as opposed to a quad-core CPU... I guess we'll find out when the LTE model launches this summer.

[citation][nom]getreal[/nom]WOW, only took Samsung 8 months to Release an inferior clone of the iPhone 4S! I'm sure this Garbage S III will be extremely expensive, too, but that won't stop the sheeple from shelling out their allowances for it![/citation]

I truly appreciate your thorough and objective examination of this crappy piece of hardware! I look forward to seeing your next replies and thumb you down automatically. Thanks!

I don't think I have been less impressed with a consumer electronic device since the Galaxy Nexus! Samsung is on a roll here! That's ok, Apple will hopefully sue over the Siri rip off, and then come to the rescue this fall with a REAL phone that actually innovates instead of blatantly steals!

Brushed aluminum in the background? White color? metal benzal? This one looks like very much similar to the iphone except the screen ofcourse.

Siri is irrelevant. This phone sounds like it can run circles around the cagy iPhone 4s jail, something the Samsung Galaxy S2 did with no trouble. Who cares about crappy siri? It aint for siri that I will buy this phone, but rather despite siri. Happy the trashy ritina display Samsung makes for Apple is not present in this phone; I guess Samsung new the audience for this phone was, well, smart
and not the typical hype driven moron that flocks with Apple.

Lol, why don't you guys stop putting each other down over your own personal preferences you like in a phone. There is a world beyond smart phones.

Actually, first time i see true HD resolution on a phone even thou it is only 720p still is the first true hd resolution on a phone.

"the 4G model will launch in North America, Japan, and Korea during this summer. This is a big improvement on the Galaxy S II, which launched in May of last year in some countries, but didn't arrive in the U.S. until September."

Technically, Summer lasts until September 21ish (U.S.) so we could still see a September release here in the U.S. I do hope they release it sooner (July maybe). I am contemplating HTC One X or something Windows Phone 8 (if I can hold out long enough). Or if Apple can do something amazing with the iPhone 5(?), they might keep me as a customer. Honestly, I hate iTunes and I'm bored with my 3GS so it's unlikely.

The irony in this statement could create a black hole large enough to swallow the entire universe.

I love the fact that they concentrated on software features which is very good of them. The hardware is very disappointing. Nothing very impressive compared to the HTC One X. I don't care about this voice recognition crap. You look like a complete tool talking to a phone.

Still a great phone by Samsung. I'll still pass over this phone and just wait for the new Nexus.

[citation][nom]derkman[/nom]The hardware is very disappointing.[/citation]

I voted you up for this! If Apple released a phone today with these lousy specs, there would be 30 pages of troll posts against Apple by now.

Really unimpressive and disappointing, because now Apple can continue to coast along since it has no real competition.

The only 2 reasons why I would get this over my GSII/Epic 4g Touch are the higher res screen, and the larger battery (that this article fails to mention). Quad core....meh, I'll take more battery life, performance is good enough as it is.

I wish the article had focused on the many interesting phone specs rather than trying to do publicity for iCrap. I guess that is too much to ask if you are beholden to swindler Jobs' nefarious backroom dealings.
