Actually pentile was only a problem if implemented badly like with droid razor. They used pentile pixel geometery but only used RGB pixels. The Galaxy nexus and I assume the GSIII use RGBG with extra green subpixel. Have you not even looked at the Nexus?

It could be a nice phone, I hope they left out the plastic case this go-round.

Why do I need a cold easily dented metal case on a phone that I will have at the most for only 2 years? Leave that to Apple. It needs to make locked-down caged-in, throw-away, easily broken phones to rob its faithful sheeple bare before they wake-up. And wakeup they will, cause you can't keep the human locust in slumber forever.

I have seen the Nexus and it indeed has a nice screen. If that's a pen-tile screen I stand very much corrected. The Razr's screen was a big disappointment to me.

I keep my phone in a case. I just am not a fan of plastic for phone cases. To me metal seems higher-end than plastic. ...but I guess if implemented so the plastic doesn't look and feel flimsy and cheap it could be okay.

I agree with you. Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga were the top sellers last year, so that makes them the best music artists, because it is all based on sales.

iPhone is still better than GIII because it has no micro USB, no expandable memory, and still no access to Flash (or Java, Shockwave, Unity, etc.) ... so that's 33% of websites that you still can't access.

It only manages to look half way decent at that mediocre resolution because of it's minuscule size. Few people seem to understand that. If the screen is small enough even a low res will look good.

Yes exactly why i am unimpressed with current generation retina. it was good, but the competition have caught up and some have surpassed. Even my original galaxy nexus looks great next to retina. not as high dpi, but its contrast, viewing angle, and outdoor visibility are superb.

I just picked up a Galaxy S2 about two months ago for $200 and coming from the G1 I'm very pleased with it, don't see a need for this new one but i will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next Galaxy S4. None the less this is a very nice phone. Being a picky phone buyer i like what Samsung has been coming out. As for the Isheep well, whatever floats your boat, just know Apple is rich but its a sinking ship and its about to take on heavy water soon =D

Yeah, Apple is about "seems". I don't need a fat metal coffin of a phone like the iPhone 4s prison. Give me a slick phone with a large screen so that I can read ebooks, if I choose, without using a tablet, and whose back I can remove to easily replace its battery in case I travel hither and yon. Enough of this "seems". Apple is all about "seems" crap and no substance.

Get real. The iPhone 4s is an embarrassment to up to date technology and open standards, in particular. It is a phone suited for a dumbed down sheeple that hasn't done its homework and cant think for itself, and is as a result susceptible to advertisement and hype.

No. Exactly the opposite, ipad screen is not all that great either. just a larger LCD panel.

Sorry, but weren't you using the exact same argument as to why the samsuck products are better? You know, higher display larger screen, etc?

I've seen a lot of delusional people on here, but I think you may have just topped them all with that comment.
 
Apple markets their products. ...but I don't see a lot of marketing from their competitors...more word-of-mouth (nothing wrong with that). However, since Apple does market their products they reach a lot of consumers. When they put out an ad that says their product is "revolutionary" and the competition simply doesn't put out any ads....

I like Apple design but theirs are not the only designs I like. I like Sony design as well...but Apple and Sony charge a hefty premium for their designs. A premium that many of you feel is grossly unwarranted, especially when you dislike the designs they're charging a premium for.

I think some competitors would do well to market their products more, as Apple has done.

apple puts its funding in creative advertisement thats reaches the non techie crowd while the other especially samsung puts that funding in improving.
 
I'm disappointed! The hardware is impressive, but the box... the borders are too big. Its the same as S II, it just has rounded corners... i wish it was like that concept image, like borderless, it was great !
(and its pretty big...)
