The Sandcaster vs fighter code does not check the exposed system.
The Evasion stat is figured in to the "to hit" chance.
On a successful hit, Armor is used to determine the number of fighters
that are destroyed.
That is a random number from 0% to 2-20% (depending on armor).
Then, if more than 1000 fighters of that type are in the wing, the
number of hits is tripled and 50 is added.
Then the above code comes into play.
EE fighters will never lose more than 1 per type per hit and they have
a better than even chance of having the hit negated anyway.
Sandshields reduce hits by, on average, half, though that can range
from no reduction to total reduction.
Robot fighters (not just Type 3) take reduced losses as well, the Type
3's having an excellent chance of taking 0 losses.
