Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 290 4GB DDR5 or MSI Graphics Card R9 290X LIGHTNING

I have seen that both of them have almost the same price which is weird for me because it is supposed that the r9 290x it's a better gpu. Which gpu do you recommend me to buy and from which manufacturer and which model. I'm planning to pair one of these gpus witth a fx 8350 or intel core i5 4670k, i'll be using them for extreme gaming and video editing in sony vegas or after effects.

Of those two I would take the 290X lightning. Just make sure you can run the thing because it uses as much energy as a double card! (3 x 8-pin connectors!)

What about the gtx 970, if the gtx 970 it's better which one should i buy and which processor would be fine for it?
