Sassar not appearing after I return with half of the rod (..

Hi
I got the first part of the rod device, returned to the surface but
Sassar (the npc in the lich tomb) is nowhere around so I cannot start
the second part of the quest. I had a fight with the lich and am
thinking that he may have got zapped during the fight.

Any suggestions on how to make him appear? I dont think he is hiding,
have looked around but cant see him.

Funny you should have that problem - I just went through that myself.
Apparently you have to kill the beholder without further help from
Sassar. It means a portion of the game will no longer be available to
you, but you can still complete the quest. You'll have to start another
game to find out what's in the lower levels - jk

Sorted. I used the console to make him appear -
CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Sassar")

Just had to run through the dialogue again, but it unlocked the second
part of the quest.
