I've had my desk PC unused for 3 years or so, and yesterday I was trying to boot it up and nothing, went to BIOS and on SATA 3 (my primary HDD) had some wierd symbols, so I opened the pc case and noticed something very odd. On both ends of the SATA cable there were these “white crystals” like when batteries leak and when I removed it from the HDD it had like a green rust on the SATA connectors.

Does anyone has any idea what this might be and how can I fix the hdd connector?

Thank you

Solution
Looks like normal warm air/colder item condensation to me.
Clean it off the HDD and get new sata cables is what I would do as well.

It is corrosion, the green stuff is oxide of copper. Nothing to be afraid of, just clean it off carefully on both sides and try to prevent moisture from getting there.
Thank you for your answer
Don't you find strange that both ends of the SATA cable have that "white crystals" arround them (since one of the ends is connected to the motherboard and the connector has these crystals inside)?
