SATA drive activity light?

Are you sure about that? I have not seen a case with no HDD activity light. What case is it, exactly?

If you assembled yourself, there's one minor error that can cause this. The HDD activity light is one of the things you connect to the mobo's Front Panel 10-pin connector. If you accidentally reverse which wires from the HDD activity light are plugged onto the two pins (that is, reverse the polarity), you will not damage the LED but it simply will not work. If that is the case, and IF the connections to this mobo pinout are all separate wires (not one 10-pin connector), just try removing the two leads for the HDD llight only (no others) and reverse the connection.
