Dear armchair pilots,

just a short question. If a scenery (like Hong Kong, for example) installs
itself in the default FS9/Scenery folder (not fs9/addon scenery), do i have
to make an entry in the scenery.cfg file, or does FS9 load all scenerys in
the default scenery folder anyway?

Thank you,
Jan

when you load FS, if you go to options at the bottom is the scenery library.
If you add any scenery then use the add button to add a new area

Hi,

If it installs itself into an existing active folder (i.e. the bgl files
go directly into an active "scenery" folder), then you do not need to.

If instead they install a HONG KONG folder with scenery (and texture)
folders inside that, then you need to create a new Hong Kong scenery
layer (even if they put the HONG KONG folder inside the FS9/Scenery folder).

Hope this helps,
