Hello.
My teacher has asked us what are 'electronic files'. If i
was to guess i would say emails, but as i want to get it
right i thought i would ask the world.
Please help, my future could depend on it.
Thank you for you time
James.

Learn to use Google to help you do your homework..
I searched for "What are Electronic Files" and one of the results was this:

Electronic files are all sorts of documents, pictures, sounds, databases,
messages, and computer programs. Any information that can be digitized
(including pictures and sounds) can be saved as an electronic file.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

Get the book: Being Digital -- by Nicholas Negroponte

Early in the book to writes about transporting files into Canada for a
conference. He explains the benefits of 'bits' over 'atoms'.

Your teacher would be MOST impressed.
