Scrambled Blue Screen

Ok, I keep gettinga wierd scrambled screen, it locks up, then blue screens. I cant make out what it says.

Mobo: dka790gx platinum
Video : Onboard Hd3300 ( I was using a 7960gx2 but when this started happening i changed cards)
RAM :4 gigs of kingston
OS : windows 7 x64
CPU : Phenom 9850 x4 Black

I dont think its video, same thing happened with my nvidia card. Tried with 1 stick of ram. I reflashed my bios to see if that helped, it s happening less often but stil occurring. CPU is running at 33c , so i dont think heat is an issue. Replaced PSU. Ran memtest. I usually try to research my self , but im at a loss.

did you update your nvidia driver?
if so did you use driver sweeper b4 installing the new driver?
and also did u remove the old nvidia driver wen u changed to ati using driver sweeper?

I reinstalled windows completely when i changed cards. The nvidia drivers were the latest, same thing is happening now with my onboard. Latest drivers, fresh install.

you are getting a TDR(Timeout Detection and Recovery) error
The following hardware issues are examples that can cause a TDR event:

- Failing overclock on CPU or GPU

- Bad sector in memory resulting in corrupt data being communicated between GPU and the system (either video or system memory)

- Corrupt hard drive/windows install resulting in corruption to the system registry or the page file

- Over heating of GPU or CPU again resulting in corrupt data being communicated.

- GPU failure due to any sort of issue from insufficient power(VERY common) to heat.

The following software issues are examples that can cause a TDR event:

-Incompatible drivers of any sort (either GPU, sound, etc)

-Messy registry

-Bad direct x files

-bad system files

-Bad driver (some drivers will cause an event due to internal bugs, however these are not nearly as common as many think due to all of the previous things causing the same symptom)

Yeah, I really dont think its hardware. Bios comes up fine, safemode boots fine. I think I might toss in xp and see how that goes. But any other ideas are appreciated.

Well i flashed the bios, so the cpu is stock everything. No OC. Iv ran memtest, i dont know any other way to check. I tried taking diff ram out and it still happens. Im not sure about the third. iv reinstalled 3 times.

did you try your nvidia gpu after re-installin windows?
if you havent, try that...
dnt forget to remove old drivers using driver sweeper..

well, im in the middle of moving and my gf decided to pack it away. So that card is no longer a choice. =\ but I did boot up in to driver sweeper and found some nvidia drivers. Im not sure why thsoe even exist. This is a clean install and I never installed them. But i removed them. Ill see what happens.

i'm also getting this error with my HD 5770's. I'm starting to wonder if its either my overclock (which is doubtful considering it only ever does it when I'm watching streaming video like youtube or hulu) or if its being underpowered by my PSU. I'm using a 550w PSU, what about you?
