Question screen border

My screen has a .25" border around it. The border is on the left, right and top. Not bottom. Can i get rid of this border?

I checked the settings in windows and Nvidia. Scale and position are correct.

I installed the newest GPU driver yesterday. That didnt fix it.

Nothing in the monitor settings to help.

My buddy has the same monitor, his goes to the very edge. Oh well.

I think he probably just interprets the words border or edge differently than you.

There is a physical plastic border underneath the glass, typically around 6 mm wide. There is no screen in this area.
